Simposio 30:75:100 - La estequiometría de la investigación, educación científica y conservación forestal en Puerto Rico

El viernes, 7 de diciembre y el sábado, 8 de diciembre de 2018. Simposio con charlas y panelistas invitados. 8:00 A.M a 6:00 P.M. ambos días.

La estequiometría 30:75:100 representa tres aniversarios a celebrarse: el 30 º del LTER, 75 º de educación científica de la Facultad de Ciencias Naturales de la UPR, y 100 º de conservación forestal por el gobierno de Puerto Rico. Esta actividad tiene tres objetivos principales: que todos conozcan los logros de estos programas e instituciones y como se relacionan entre sí; explicar los beneficios que obtiene la sociedad puertorriqueña de estos programas e instituciones y; fijar nuestra mirada en los próximos 100 años, anticipando los roles que desempeñaran estos en la reinvención de Puerto Rico después del paso del huracán Maria.

Lugar

Todas las actividades serán en los anfiteatros de Estudios Generales de UPR – Río Piedras

Symposium 30:75:100 - The Stoichiometry of Research, Science Education and Forest Conservation in Puerto Rico

Thursday, December 6, 2018. Opening and Award Ceremony. 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.
Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8, 2018. Symposium with guest speakers and panelists. 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. both days.

Stoichiometry 30: 75: 100 represents the celebration of three anniversaries: Long-Term Ecological Research program (LUQ LTER) 30th, College of Natural Sciences of the University Of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras 75th, and 100th of forest conservation in Puerto Rico. The activity has three objectives: make everyone aware of the history of accomplishments of these programs and institutions and how they relate to each other; explain the benefits that the Puerto Rican society derives from these programs and institutions and; look forward to the next 100 years, anticipating the role that the programs and institutions will have in the reinvention of Puerto Rico after the passage of hurricane María.

Location

All the activities will be in the amphitheaters of General Studies of UPR - Río Piedras.
